Dressing for the Holidays: A Holiday Tablescape

12.20.2021

During the height of the pandemic, the hubs came up with a great idea to convert our formal dining room into a gym.  I know, I know, a southern woman without a formal dining room is like blasphemy right? Trust me I wasn't 100% on board initially but eventually, I gave in. And while we're on the topic, I think I use it more than him.

Nevertheless, I would be amiss if I said that I didn't miss decorating the dining area, especially for the holidays. I think that's something every homemaker enjoys. There's something about dressing a table and making it just as elegant as you would find in a five-star restaurant. So I asked myself how can I make the best of this situation and put on my creative thinking cap.

The solution: The breakfast table in the eat-in kitchen area. Now upgrading this area has been on my to-do list for a while and I thought what better time to give it a test run than now.

I pulled out some random holiday knick-knacks and turned my little breakfast table into a perfect dining area with all the southern charm. I really love how everything turned out.
